Fidelity Investments Inc. is seeking a Principal QA Engineer in Westlake, TX to lead testing of distributed applications across microservices. You will design and implement automated test suites using Java, Cucumber, Playwright, and Karate, and build CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.

You will guide QA strategies, review requirements and designs, and ensure regression and performance testing across web, mobile, and API platforms. This role requires a strong background in financial services QA.

Develops automated test cases using test automation frameworks, and develops in-house software utilities. Builds, deploys, and maintains Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Monitors functioning of equipment to ensure systems operate in conformance with specifications. Designs, develops, and modifies software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models, to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design. Assures that projects meet quality standards by providing technical guidance in planning, designing, and executing testing and developing procedures relating to product quality on complex projects.**Primary Responsibilities:*** Reviews software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, completeness, or to mitigate risks.* Performs code reviews and formal reviews of application designs, and business and functional requirements.* Reviews reports on software problems.* Defines and implements Quality Assurance (QA) process improvements focused on defect prevention.* Recommends strategies and methods to improve test plans and test processes.* Defines and coordinates regression tests and determines production verification and validation processes for future projects.* Performs ad hoc testing, regression testing, and sanity testing for various release versions of applications.* Communicates risks, issues, and concerns with management to derive appropriate solutions.**Education and Experience**:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal QA Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing and maintaining test automation frameworks using Java, Cucumber, Playwright, and Karate in a financial services environment.Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal QA Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing and maintaining test automation frameworks using Java, Cucumber, Playwright, and Karate in a financial services environment.**Skills and Knowledge**:Candidate must also possess:· Demonstrated Expertise developing and executing software test strategies, plans, and effort estimates using Jira Xray and Confluence; performing sanity, functional, regression, ad-hoc, and end-to-end testing; supporting system components through system testing, integration testing, and deployment to UAT and production environments; defining and implementing test automation frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, Java, and Maven; and integrating automated testing within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.· Demonstrated Expertise defining enterprise‐wide test automation strategies across multiple systems by developing architecture and process artifacts using Miro and Enterprise Architect; and designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reusable test automation frameworks for User Interface (UI) and Application Programming Interface (API) testing using Selenium, Playwright, REST Assured, and Karate, including programming in Java and Python.· Demonstrated Expertise architecting and implementing scalable, enterprise automation frameworks, and defining automation roadmaps to support Agile and CI/CD environments using Playwright, Git, and Jenkins; and establishing best practices, toolchains, and reusable components to improve test efficiency, coverage, and release velocity across web, mobile, and API platforms using Selenium and Karate automation frameworks.· Demonstrated Expertise analyzing Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) workflows to ensure alignment with business requirements by validating process logic, decision tables, service tasks, and user tasks using Camunda and its APIs; designing and enhancing test automation frameworks for web-based applications using Maven, Cucumber, and WebDriver; and developing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver to support regression and performance testing.#PE1M2#LI-DNIFidelity’s Onsite Working Model Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles.
