Job summary

Concord USA is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to bridge business objectives and software solutions for a major North American energy operation. You will own full-stack architecture, guide design choices, and drive production-ready systems with autonomy.

You’ll lead AI-assisted development, ensure security by design, build scalable data and backend services, and mentor engineers while collaborating with executives and stakeholders across locations in the US.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of professional software engineering, with ownership of system architecture and technical leadership.
• Proficient in Python for application development, not limited to data work.
• 2+ years of applied AI/LLM production experience shipping features to production.
• Extensive experience with AWS and/or GCP including real infrastructure deployment.
• Experience authoring CI/CD pipelines; Kubernetes knowledge is a plus.
• Full-stack capability with comfort in a modern frontend framework when needed.
• Hands-on use of agentic AI tools in daily development.
• Ability to communicate strategy to executives and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Translate ambiguous business problems into scalable system architectures.
• Design robust architectures and anticipate edge cases.
• Own end-to-end feature development across backend, data, and UI.
• Lead AI-assisted development and create validation checks for AI tooling.
• Build secure-by-design CI/CD pipelines and maintain observability.
• Mentor engineers, guide architecture decisions, and interface with executives.
