Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Project Technical Manager 3 to join our team in Rancho Bernardo, CA or Palmdale, CA. The candidate should be a self-starter with experience working in an Integrated Product Team construct.

The selected candidate will work full-time on-site at our facility with travel up to 25%. A Secret clearance is required or able to be obtained, and relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience or an advanced degree with fewer years.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain active US Government Secret clearance.
  • Experience in project management and scheduling.
  • Ability to obtain SAP access via PAR prior to employment and ongoing SAP PARs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage EVMS across engineering and logistics teams.
  • Decompose and track cost/schedule changes and their impact on the program.
  • Create, maintain, validate, and report key performance metrics to leadership.
  • Schedule resources and remove roadblocks with teams.
  • Coordinate with other PMs, teams, and leadership to deconflict tasking and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Assist with mitigation and capture steps aligned to program goals.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for a Project Technical Manager 3 to join our team in Rancho Bernardo, CA or Palmdale, CA. The candidate should be a self-starter with familiarity working in an Integrated Product Team construct.

Roles And Responsibilities Will Include
  • Manage EVMS across a diverse set of engineering and logistic teams.
  • Decompose and track cost/schedule changes into how they impact our team.
  • Ensure further decomposition is accurate and upward summary captures current situation accurately.
  • Create, maintain, validate, and report key performance metrics up to leadership.
  • Work with the teams to schedule resources and remove roadblocks.
  • Coordinate with other project managers, teams, and leadership to deconflict tasking, identify risks/issues/opportunities, and help the team execute mitigation/capture steps in accordance with program leadership goals.

The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of related experience; OR a Master’s degree and 3 years of related experience; OR a PhD and 1 years of related experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active US Government Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Access Program (SAP) access via a Program Access Request (PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain subsequent SAP PARs following commencement of employment to be able to completely support statement of work.
  • Experience in project management and scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
  • Familiarity with Python software language.
  • Familiarity with military requirements for maintenance and material management.

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
