Job summary

Lorien in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Principal Project Controls Cost Analyst to lead cost forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis across complex capital programs. This hybrid role coordinates with project teams and sites across the Carolinas and neighboring states.

You will apply advanced Excel skills and project controls methodologies to monitor performance, manage risks, and provide detailed cost reporting. Travel to project sites is about three days per week.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of Project Controls experience with cost management and forecasting.
• Strong background in financial reporting for large-scale projects.
• Advanced Excel and ability to work with large datasets.
• Knowledge of project controls methodologies, budgeting and variance analysis.
• Experience with risk management and project performance reporting.

Salary: USD80 - USD85 per hour

This is a hybrid role that will involve working with project teams across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida, with approximately 3 days per week spent at project sites.

What We're Looking For

• 9+ years of Project Controls experience


• Strong background in cost management, forecasting, and financial reporting


• Experience supporting large-scale capital or construction projects


• Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets


• Knowledge of project controls methodologies, budgeting, trending, burn rates, and variance analysis


• Experience with risk management and project performance reporting

Preferred

• Utility, energy, solar, or infrastructure project experience


• PMP, CAPM, AACE, or similar certifications


• Experience with project controls and cost management software
