Qualifications

• 10+ years of product management experience, including security‑critical products or SaaS platforms.
• Deep knowledge of security fundamentals: cryptography, authentication protocols, identity and access management, zero‑knowledge and end‑to‑end encrypted design, and threat modeling.
• Fluency in credential and identity landscape (passkeys, WebAuthn/FIDO, etc.).
• Proven credibility with security engineering teams, not just collaboration.
• Ability to read and reason through technical specifications, security audits, and cryptographic design documents.
• Experience making risk‑based tradeoffs and explaining them clearly to engineers, executives, and customers.
• History of shipping security features that users actually adopt.
• Experience setting strategy at platform/infrastructure level and influencing roadmaps.
• Strong communication skills that scale from technical papers to executive briefings.
• Clear point of view on evolving security landscape and concrete roadmap implications.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product teams on security early and translate roadmaps into security requirements.
• Align Security Engineering priorities with product strategy and communicate tradeoffs openly.
• Own an independent, platform‑level security roadmap (key management, cryptography, authentication, recovery).
• Lead strategy for AI era: agent access, credentials for non‑human identities, trust models (e.g., MCP).
• Balance risk and usability using data from adoption, support, telemetry, and threat models.
• Represent 1Password to the security community; engage with researchers and bug bounty programs.
• Raise the bar for product work by coaching PMs on security thinking and robust decision making.
