Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Senior/Principal Product Manager for Engine Networking based in San Mateo, CA. You will drive the vision and strategy for the game engine networking stack and collaborate with Infrastructure and Matchmaking teams to push latency and scaling improvements for 130 million daily players.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product management in technically deep environments.
• Strong technical background in networking stacks and collaboration with engineers.
• Ability to define multi-year product vision and rally cross-functional teams.
• Founder mindset; comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving global launches.
• Data-driven with ability to measure impact and KPIs.
• Excellent executive communication; explains complex topics clearly.

Responsibilities

• Define the long-term vision and strategy for Engine Networking with investments in core pieces of the high-performance game engine.
• Lead architecture efforts, including upcoming offline play features, and drive execution.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure to optimize KPIs for networked gameplay and data center planning.
• Partner with Data Science to identify opportunities and measure efficacy of initiatives.
• Integrate AI, architecture and other advances to deliver step-function improvements.
• Hands-on leadership to bring roadmap to life with engineering leadership.
• Mentor the team and foster a culture of rigorous thinking, experimentation, and customer empathy.
