Orion is seeking a Principal Product Manager for the Denali Data Platform to define strategy, roadmap, and scaled adoption across the enterprise. You will serve as the SME on Denali’s architecture, capabilities, and future evolution, partnering with AI Engineering, Data, Reporting, and Product teams to drive AI-enabled experiences and business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the Denali Data Platform.
  • Serve as the primary product SME for Denali, including architecture, core capabilities, integrations, and future-state design.
  • Partner with AI Engineering, Data Platform, Reporting, and Product leadership to shape Denali’s technical and product direction.
  • Define success metrics and measure platform adoption, scalability, and business impact.
  • Lead the product workstream for Data Catalog readiness in support of Denali AI.
  • Define and implement standards for metadata, governance, lineage, and data discoverability to enable AI-driven use cases at scale.
  • Ensure the platform’s data foundations support responsible, secure, and high-quality AI consumption.
  • Define and execute a strategy to scale Denali’s technical configuration, reducing manual effort and increasing automation where appropriate.
  • Drive self-service capabilities that enable teams to onboard, configure, and use the platform efficiently.
  • Ensure the platform can support rapid growth in users, data volume, and use cases across Orion.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to translate platform strategy into prioritized initiatives and outcomes.
  • Partner with Engineering on trade-offs, sequencing, and architectural decisions.
  • Work with Security, Compliance, and Risk partners to align platform governance with enterprise standards.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on data platform strategy and investment decisions.
  • Conduct internal stakeholder research and assess industry trends related to data platforms, AI enablement, and analytics.
  • Identify opportunities to evolve Denali based on business needs, technical gaps, and competitive landscape.
  • Inform ROI analysis and business cases for major platform investments.
  • Create and maintain high-level platform documentation (e.g., platform vision, capability maps, architectural principles, governance standards).
  • Clearly communicate roadmap, priorities, and platform updates to executive and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Build alignment and accountability across teams through clarity of direction and decision-making.

Overview

As a Principal Product Manager for the Denali Data Platform, you will set the strategic direction, roadmap, and scaled adoption of Orion’s enterprise data platform. This role is a deep subject‑matter expert on Denali — its architecture, capabilities, integrations, and long‑term evolution — partnering closely with AI Engineering, Data, Reporting, and Product teams to position the platform for AI‑driven experiences and enterprise growth.

  • Ability to influence and lead across multiple teams without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a systems‑level mindset.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive‑level storytelling.
  • Capacity to manage ambiguity and drive clarity in complex technical environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
