Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Principal Pricing Analyst to lead material estimating for proposals, based in Sunnyvale, CA. On-site preferred with options for Woodland Hills or San Diego, CA; telecommuting may be considered for highly qualified candidates.

You will prepare BOM pricing templates, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure pricing aligns with customer requirements and regulatory standards. A DoD clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of pricing or estimating experience in government contracting.
• Experience with proposal support and price-to-win strategies.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements and DoD procurement processes.

Overview

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Principal Pricing Analyst (A03) supporting the Material Estimating team, based in Sunnyvale, CA. The preferred on-site location is Sunnyvale, CA, but it can also be staffed at Woodland Hills, CA or San Diego, CA locations. Telecommuting may be considered for highly qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare material estimates for proposal submittals by understanding customer requirements through RFPs and other requests.
• Collaborate and coordinate with proposal technical teams to develop the material estimating strategy, interfacing with Business Management, Global Supply Chain, Program Management, Program Office, and Pricing Organizations.
• Select appropriate pricing methods (e.g., PO History, vendor quotes) for each item included in the proposal.
• Work on multiple priority proposals concurrently.
• Ensure compliance with Customer and FAR/DFAR regulatory requirements.
• Support proposal reviews with detailed Bills of Materials and Cost Estimating Relationships (CERs), including accompanying supporting data.
• Prepare Bill of Material pricing templates to support proposal-specific pricing models.
• Support risk and opportunity assessment, quantification, and analysis during the proposal estimating process.
• Prepare material price analyses to support business unit and Global Supply Chain leaders in decision-making as it pertains to specific pricing proposals.
• Support fact-finding, government audits, customer negotiations, and certifications, while ensuring TINA compliance during all aspects of the proposal process.
• Interact with various stakeholders, including but not limited to Global Supply Chain, Program Management, Pricing, and Business Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of combined experience in Pricing, Estimating, Global Supply Chain or another Business Management related function or a Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience.
• Proposal experience within government contracting.
• Prior pricing or material estimating experience.
• Knowledge of FAR and DFAR.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required.

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
