Job summary

RTX is seeking Cleared Platform Engineers to join our team as Principal Platform DevOps Engineers - Windows OS for a large national asset project. The role focuses on Windows OS configuration, optimization, and DevOps/DevSecOps work across on-prem and cloud environments.

You will deploy templates, dashboards, and scripts, design and code with DevOps tools, and contribute to build/test and integration efforts while ensuring performance and scalability.

Qualifications

• BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics and a minimum 8 years of related work experience.
• Proven experience installing, configuring, hardening, and maintaining Windows environments.
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and integrating cloud infrastructure solutions, preferably with AWS.
• Strong experience with IaC and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Chef, and/or Ansible.
• Experience troubleshooting complex systems involving multiple servers, COTS products, VMs, VDIs, and/or network issues.
• Active and Current TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance is required on day 1. U.S. citizenship is required.

We are seeking Cleared Platform Engineers to join our team. We are looking for a Principal Platform DevOps Engineer - Windows OS for our environment; a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware, for a large Project producing a critical, strategic national asset. The skills for this need will include someone who is very familiar with the Windows Operating system and can work through the OS configuration and optimization for these environments which would involve a mixture of hands-on keyboard, engineering work, as well as documentation and baseline control.

What You Will Do

• You will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to assist with design, development, implementation, and support of DevOps / DevSecOps development of our Windows based hosts for the project


• You will support software deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts to support program need for the effort

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics and a minimum 8 years of related work experience


• Proven experience installing, configuring, hardening, and maintaining Windows environments


• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and integrating cloud infrastructure solutions, preferably with AWS


• Strong experience with IaC and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Chef, and/or Ansible

Qualifications We Prefer

• Advanced troubleshooting skills for Windows platform, performance, reliability, and distributed system availability issues


• Extensive Windows OS development and deployment experience


• Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation and workflow development


• Experience in Active Directory designs and implementation


• Experience with the Agile development lifecycle


• Experience with SAFe agile processes


• Knowledge of Enterprise Application development and deployment processesWindows MCSE Certification or similar security+ certification

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
