Job description

Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack - from electrons to tokens - to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that - with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved - people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

About the Role:

As a Principal Organizational Development Strategist, you will serve as a high-impact individual contributor driving the health, design, and effectiveness of Crusoe's organization as we rapidly scale. This role is ideal for a senior OD practitioner who thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and blends strategic thinking with pragmatic execution.

Working as an internal consultant, you will independently diagnose organizational needs, challenge assumptions, and design interventions that improve team dynamics, strategic alignment, and leadership capabilities. Partnering closely with People Analytics, Talent Management, and executive leadership, you will turn data-driven insights into scalable solutions across our engineering, data center, manufacturing, and corporate teams. You will also develop and oversee Crusoe's enterprise coaching strategy.

What You'll Be Working On:
  • Organizational Design & Effectiveness: Diagnose org health issues and support structural design initiatives - including role clarity, team operating models, decision-making frameworks, and change management.
  • Talent Strategy & Performance Alignment: Partner with the Performance & Talent Management (PTM) team to translate talent reviews and succession data into actionable development frameworks, capability building, and targeted interventions.
  • Engagement Insights & Action Planning: Analyze quantitative and qualitative engagement data alongside People Analytics to surface critical organizational insights, leading executive debriefs and targeted team action planning.
  • High-Stakes Facilitation & Advisory: Design, coordinate, and facilitate strategic offsites, leadership alignment sessions, and team effectiveness workshops; serve as a trusted, candid sounding board for business leaders.
  • Performance & Manager Enablement Tools: Build scalable, lightweight toolkits and resources that empower managers to set clear expectations, differentiate performance, deliver constructive feedback, and build psychological safety.
  • Executive Partnership & High EQ: Demonstrated ability to counsel senior leaders on leadership strategy and organizational health, combined with sound discretion when managing sensitive coaching situations.
  • Systemic Program Architecture: Design repeatably scalable tools and OD frameworks rather than one-off fixes, ensuring solutions adapt seamlessly to Crusoe's evolving footprint.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
  • 10-15+ Years of OD / Talent Experience: Deep experience in organizational development, talent management, industrial/organizational psychology, or internal/external management consulting, ideally within high-growth, technical, or industrial sectors.
  • Org Design & Diagnostic Expertise: Proven track record of diagnosing organizational friction, facilitating org design frameworks, and driving complex change initiatives without an established playbook.
  • Consultative & Executive Influence: Exceptional communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills; comfortable challenging senior executives respectfully and bringing structure to open-ended problems.
  • Data & Analytics Translation: Ability to synthesize complex people data, engagement trends, and operational metrics into compelling narratives and targeted interventions.
  • Agility & Resourcefulness: Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously, moving seamlessly from high-level strategy to hands-on execution.
Bonus Points
  • Advanced Degree: Masters or Ph.D. in Organizational Development, I/O Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Formal training or certifications in executive coaching, change management (e.g., Prosci), org design, or assessment frameworks (e.g., Hogan, Birkman, DiSC).
  • Infrastructure Tech Context: Curiosity about AI, hardware manufacturing, and the physical data center infrastructure powering future technologies.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation and equity packages
  • Restricted Stock Units
  • Paid time off, paid holidays & leave of absence programs
  • Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance
  • Employer contributions to HSA account
  • Paid parental leave
  • Paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability
