Travel up to 10% may be required.Responsibilities:Become a Responsible Engineer (RE) for the Environmental Control System (ECS) fluid subsystemSupport supplier qualification efforts to ensure program requirements are metSupport supplier contract milestones (PDR, CDR, TRR, MRA, FCA, PCA etc.)Review and disposition supplier contract data deliverablesOccasional travel to support supplier activities, production test support, and/or control room flight test support up to 10% of the timeThis position can be filled at either the Principal Aeronautical Engineer (Fluids Subsystems Responsible Engineer) level 3 or the Sr. Principal Aeronautical Engineer (Fluids Subsystems Responsible Engineer) level 4, depending on experience and qualifications.Basic QualificationsBasic qualifications for a Principal Aeronautical Engineer include a Bachelor’s degree in a related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 5 years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree in a related STEM discipline and 3 years of relevant experience; OR a PhD in a related STEM discipline with 1 year of relevant experience.Basic qualifications for a Sr. Principal Aeronautical Engineer include a Bachelor’s degree in a related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 8 years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree in a related STEM discipline and 6 years of relevant experience; OR a PhD in a related STEM discipline with 4 years of relevant experience.U.S Citizenship requiredMust have an active US Government Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs. This SAP must be obtained prior to employment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools – PowerPoint, Excel, WordPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Environmental Control Systems (ECS)Experience in Environmental Control Systems (ECS) hardware development and supplier technical management interactionExperience with engagement on technical and programmatic interaction with suppliers and supplier managementExperience creating and presenting technical board packages to program leadership and customer for approvalExperience as a Control Account Manager (CAM)Experience supporting production test supportExperience with control room flight test supportExperience with Common Product Lifecycle Management (CPLM) softwarePrimary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
