This role bridges R&D, NPD, and Operations, guiding design-for-manufacturing decisions and transferring technologies into pilot and high-volume manufacturing. The position requires 15+ years in optoelectronic or microelectronics manufacturing, with hands-on experience in automated tools and process development, plus strong

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering is required; MS preferred.
• Strong background in optoelectronic or microelectronics manufacturing.
• Experience with DOE, FMEA, and statistical process methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with automated manufacturing tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize optical assembly processes for pilot and production environments.
• Establish robust process windows using DOE, FMEA, and Six Sigma.
• Provide manufacturing feedback to R&D on designs and materials.
• Lead technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing sites.
• Support production ramp-up from pilot through volume manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Operations on equipment selection and tool optimization.
• Mentor engineers in DOE, failure analysis, and process discipline.
