Job summary

Blue Owl Capital is seeking a Principal, Operations Technology Systems to lead technology strategy across our Operations organization, including Investor and Investment Operations and Reporting & Analytics. This leader will partner with stakeholders to define requirements, design and implement solutions, oversee testing, and manage delivery of strategic tech initiatives.

Experience with modern AI technologies is highly desirable.

Qualifications

10+ years of hands-on technology leadership in private equity, alt asset mgmt, or financial services.
Proven track record leading cross-functional technology initiatives from concept to implementation.
Experience managing onshore and offshore software development, QA, data engineering, and business analysis teams.
Strong project management with multiple concurrent initiatives.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining execution quality.
Strong communication with business leaders, tech teams, and executives.
Experience delivering mission-critical platforms in regulated, data-intensive environments.
Deep understanding of Agile and enterprise system integration patterns.

Responsibilities

Lead the technology strategy for Blue Owl's Operations org, including Investor and Investment Operations and Reporting & Analytics.
Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for operations technology platforms and data capabilities.
Drive innovation across financial tech systems (OMS, EMS, PMS, reporting, data platforms).
Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and delivery plans.
Oversee system implementations, integrations, enhancements, and ongoing platform support.
Own global delivery roadmap, including BAU, priorities, and milestones.
Establish architecture standards and technology roadmaps with infra teams.
Manage external vendors and consultants for timely project delivery.
Build and support reporting solutions using proprietary and third-party platforms.
