Job summary

Teradata seeks a Principal NLP Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced NLP technologies powering its Context Engine. You will own end-to-end NLP capabilities—from entity and relation extraction to multi-document reasoning and agent frameworks—at enterprise scale.

You will bridge research and production, crafting scalable architectures for LLMs, RAG, and knowledge graphs, while mentoring a team of senior engineers and collaborating with product leaders.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Computer Science, AI, ML, NLP or related field.
• 12+ years of software engineering with 8+ years in production NLP.
• Recognized leader in NLP, language AI, search or knowledge management.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute NLP roadmap across the Knowledge Platform.
• Serve as technical authority for large-scale NLP architecture and deployment.
• Lead enterprise NLP, retrieval, grounding, and AI reasoning initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and establish NLP engineering best practices.
