Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize LAN/WAN architectures for critical government-facing operations. You will lead routing, switching, security policy enforcement, and vendor coordination on-site at client sites in Denver, Albuquerque, or Germantown.

A DOE Q/TS clearance and 10+ years of experience are required. You will analyze network traffic, test new technologies, ensure compliance with DISA STIGs, and document configurations and procedures for

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
10+ years of professional experience in network engineering, infrastructure design, and circuit troubleshooting.
Experience with routing and switching protocols.
DOE Q or TS security clearance required.
US citizenship required.
Deep knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, wireless technologies, and network design principles.
Expertise in BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, RSTP, VXLAN, and LACP.
Understanding of network security practices, system hardening, and organizational compliance standards.
Experience with DISA STIGs and other federal security frameworks required.
Familiarity with Microsoft DNS and Unix BIND systems.
Cisco certification is valuable; CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, CCIE, or another Cisco certification listed.
Juniper and Palo Alto experience is a plus.
Previous Department of Energy or similar federal-agency experience is preferred.
Less than 10% travel required.
Ability to work onsite at a client site in Denver, Albuquerque, or Germantown.
