NightDragon Acquisition Corp. is looking for a Staff Naval Architect to join their team in Austin, Texas. This position centers on the design and development of autonomous surface vessels, offering hands-on experience in both traditional and advanced naval architecture.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture and over 15 years of engineering experience, alongside a strong proficiency in CAD software. The role includes significant responsibilities related to vessel design and analysis.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of engineering experience with expertise in ship construction.
• Strong knowledge of stability, structures, propulsion, and hydrodynamics.
• Proficiency with simulation tools like Orca3D, GHS, Star CCM+.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze vessel hull forms and structures.
• Conduct naval architecture analyses including stability calculations.
• Collaborate on CAD modeling and structural design.
