Job summary

Acero Precision in West Chester, PA, seeks an experienced CNC programmer to lead complex medical device work from first piece to full-rate production, translating GD&T into toolpath strategies and programming in Mastercam and Mazatrol.

You will validate processes on Mazak Variaxis and Integrex, mentor machinists, perform FAIs, and drive cycle-time reductions while maintaining tight tolerances on stainless steel, titanium, and specialty alloys.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC programming in a precision manufacturing setting.
• Advanced Mazatrol and Mastercam expertise.
• Hands-on experience programming and setting up Mazak Variaxis and/or Integrex.
• Independently programming, setting up, proving out, and launching new jobs.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T fluency.
• Deep understanding of machining math, tooling, workholding, and process development.
• Solid knowledge of inspection and quality control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Engineer full machining processes for intricate medical components.
• Program, set up, optimize, and launch on Variaxis and Integrex.
• Execute FAIs and support validation to lock in quality.
• Define tooling, fixturing, and workholding for stability and speed.
• Crush cycle times and reduce waste without sacrificing precision.
• Interpret drawings, GD&T, surface finish specs, and revision levels.
• Coach machinists to sustained, on-time, low-defect output.

• $35-$45/hour, commensurate with experience

Parts, Tolerances, and Materials

You’ll deliver complex geometries and premium finishes on stainless steel, titanium, specialty alloys, and engineering-grade plastics-where microns matter.

Your Background

• 5+ years CNC programming in a precision manufacturing setting
• Advanced Mazatrol and Mastercam expertise
• Hands-on experience programming and setting up Mazak Variaxis and/or Integrex
• Capable of independently programming, setting up, proving out, and launching new jobs
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T fluency
• Deep understanding of machining math, tooling, workholding, and process development
• Solid knowledge of inspection and quality control procedures

Preferred Experience

• Medical device, aerospace, or defense/military manufacturing
• Continuous improvement and process/tooling optimization
• Leadership/mentoring of machinists or technical teams
• Manufacturing engineering education, apprenticeship, or technical training
