Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s with significant robotics/motion planning experience
• 10+ years of robotics/motion planning research
• 5+ years of C++ software development in production environments
• Experience owning and leading technical development on complex features from problem formulation to deployment

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D of novel motion planning algorithms and subsystems for autonomous driving.
• Lead cross-functional projects to define or upgrade interfaces.
• Monitor system performance and develop strategies to address deficiencies.
• Mentor junior and senior team members in engineering best practices.
• Design and build a robust, scalable, high-performance codebase for rapid exploration and evaluation.
• Collaborate with perception and prediction upstream and trajectory optimization downstream to ensure end-to-end performance.
