Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. in Chandler, AZ, is seeking a Principal Mixed-Signal Design Engineer to lead the development of advanced power management and mixed-signal ICs from concept through production.

You will influence product architecture, mentor engineers, and drive projects across architecture, design, verification, silicon validation, and production release, while collaborating with cross-functional teams including digital design, layout, applications, and customers.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering.
• 15+ years of analog or mixed-signal IC design experience.
• Strong understanding of CMOS analog and mixed-signal circuit design.
• Experience designing power management ICs, DC/DC converters, LDOs, references, comparators, and related analog circuits.
• Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso and SPICE simulation tools.
• Strong debugging and silicon bring-up skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, implementation, and validation of complex mixed-signal and power management ICs.
• Design transistor-level analog circuits including: DC/DC converters, LDOs, references, comparators, and related analog circuits.
• Develop system and circuit architectures that optimize performance, area, power, cost, and schedule.
• Drive projects from concept through tapeout, characterization, qualification, and production release.
• Perform simulation and verification using Cadence and SPICE-based tools.
• Work closely with layout engineers to achieve optimal circuit implementation and silicon performance.
• Analyze silicon results, root-cause issues, and drive corrective actions.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple projects and mentor junior engineers.
• Participate in customer interactions, design reviews, and technical discussions.

About the Role

Analog Devices is seeking a Principal Mixed-Signal Design Engineer to lead the development of advanced power management and mixed-signal integrated circuits from concept through production. This role requires deep expertise in analog and mixed-signal IC design, strong technical leadership, and the ability to drive complex product developments across architecture, design, verification, silicon validation, and production release. The successful candidate will be a recognized technical leader capable of influencing product architecture, mentoring engineers, and solving complex technical challenges while working closely with cross-functional teams including digital design, layout, applications, product engineering, test engineering, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, implementation, and validation of complex mixed-signal and power management ICs.
• Design transistor-level analog circuits including: DC/DC converters LDOs Bandgaps References Current sensing circuits Data converters Interface circuitry
• Develop system and circuit architectures that optimize performance, area, power, cost, and schedule.
• Drive projects from concept through tapeout, characterization, qualification, and production release.
• Perform simulation and verification using Cadence and SPICE-based tools.
• Work closely with layout engineers to achieve optimal circuit implementation and silicon performance.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering.

• Experience leading large mixed-signal product developments.
