Join us as a Principal Microbiome Scientist in our client-facing scientific analysis team in Germantown, MD. This is a key role for an experienced scientist who combines deep microbiome expertise with strong data analytics capabilities, excellent client communication skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with commercial teams. As a Principal-level position, the role carries growing responsibility for scientific standards, mentoring, and coordination within the US Microbiome Science team, aligned with demonstrated leadership, performance, and evolving business needs.
In this role, you will lead and conduct complex client microbiome studies within the US Microbiome Science team, serve as a trusted partner to clients and commercial colleagues, and act as a senior scientific reference point within the US service organization. You will have responsibility for end-to-end scientific delivery and communication across client projects, including:
Your work will be supported by our in-house R-based analysis framework, and you will collaborate closely with experienced colleagues in both the US and Denmark. The role includes occasional travel, including periodic visits to Denmark.

This position is based in Germantown, MD, working primarily on-site while having the flexibility to work from home up to 1-2 days per week.

The annual pay for this position ranges from $100,000 to $140,000. Benefits offered include qualified retirement programs, paid time off, as well as health, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
