Job summary

Barrington James is assisting a client, an established healthcare consulting firm, in recruiting senior Medicaid professionals to win business and deliver on projects. You will originate engagements, cultivate relationships with state Medicaid agencies and other stakeholders, and translate policy and market developments into viable consulting solutions.

Candidates should have 10+ years in Medicaid or healthcare consulting, leadership experience in a consultancy or government-services setting,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Medicaid, government healthcare or healthcare consulting experience.
• Current or previous leadership experience within a consultancy, advisory firm or government-services organization
• Experience winning projects
• Relationships across the state Medicaid and government healthcare ecosystem
• Ability to lead both business development and project delivery
• This position does not require a guaranteed portable book of business. However, candidates must demonstrate relationships and previous examples of projects won.

Our client, an established healthcare consulting firm, is hiring for senior Medicaid professionals who can win business and deliver on projects.

Responsibilities

• Originate new Medicaid consulting engagements and expand existing client relationships
• Develop relationships with state Medicaid agencies, managed care organizations, providers and other Medicaid stakeholders
• Translate Medicaid policy, regulatory and market developments into commercially viable consulting solutions
• Provide oversight across complex Medicaid transformation, policy and implementation engagements
• Build, manage and mentor consulting teams
• Contribute to Medicaid practice strategy, service development and market positioning

Looking for expertise within two or three of these areas:

• Medicaid managed care
• Section 1115 demonstrations and waivers
• Medicaid financing, rate setting and supplemental payments
• Delivery-system and payment reform
• Eligibility and enrollment
• Program integrity
• LTSS, HCBS and dual-eligible populations
• Medicaid enterprise systems and modernization

Overall requirements

• 10+ years of Medicaid, government healthcare or healthcare consulting experience
• Current or previous leadership experience within a consultancy, advisory firm or government-services organization
• Experience winning projects
• Relationships across the state Medicaid and government healthcare ecosystem
• Ability to lead both business development and project delivery
