Northrop Grumman in Promontory, UT is seeking a Material Requirement Planning Analyst – Level 2 or Level 3 to plan indirect materials and schedule supply to meet production needs.

The role emphasizes variance analysis, cost control, and collaboration with manufacturing to ensure quality and on-time delivery. On-site with a 4/10 schedule; travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience or Master’s degree with 0 years (or 4+ years experience in lieu of degree).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • 4 years of Supply Chain experience in Planning, Inventory Control, Production Control, Procurement or related function.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Material Planning Logic and ERP systems
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, oral and written
  • High level of organization and production planning skills

Responsibilities

  • Interface with review team to assure customer satisfaction with design.
  • Coordinate all procurements and fabrication to meet program cost and schedule requirements.
  • Inspect fabricated hardware to assure design compliance.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to achieve program quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Develop tooling concepts and improve manufacturing processes to meet customer requirements.
  • Work with Tool Engineers to create final drawings.
  • Monitor cost and schedule and review engineering drawings for manufacturability.
  • Support vendors during fabrication and inspect tool configuration for drawing compliance.

As a Material Requirement Planning Analyst – Level 2 or Level 3 located in Promontory, UT , you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.

This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

This position primarily focuses on the planning of indirect materials. The individual will be responsible for planning, preparing, and scheduling the material supply supporting and ensuring a systematic and controlled flow of approved material timed to meet production requirements, manufacturing and maintenance demands. This individual will perform variance analysis and review planning execution to validate and ensure the accuracy of system triggers.

This position’s standard work schedule is 4/10s.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Interface with review team to assure customer satisfaction with design

  • Managing projects and coordinate all procurements and fabrication to meet the program cost and schedule requirements

  • Inspect fabricated support hardware to assure compliance to design

  • Work alongside the manufacturing team to ensure overall program quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved

  • Work with internal Customers to concept needed support equipment for new and existing programs

  • Developing tooling concepts, creating/reviewing and improving manufacturing processes to meet Customer requirements

  • Work closely with Tool Engineers to create final drawings.

  • Understand/monitor cost and schedule

  • Review engineering drawings and designs for manufacturability

  • Support vendors as needed during fabrication

  • Inspect tool configuration for drawing compliance, including fit, form and function

  • Support continuous improvement

  • Support Operations and Process Engineering in the use of all tooling

  • Must be able to work shift work to include weekends and holidays.

  • Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Currently possess or be able to obtain a secret clearance.

  • Able to acquire and maintain Employee Possessor (EP) status under the Safe Explosives Act (SEA).

  • Other duties as assigned

This position can be filled at either a level 2 or level 3.

Primary Level Salary Range: $59,600.00 - $89,400.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
