Division and Role

Our Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) is a leader in satellite, payload, directed energy, and electronics solutions for security, military, and civil sectors. We are committed to providing innovative and reliable aerospace products to ensure mission success.

We are hiring a Manufacturing Engineer in Redondo Beach, CA, to support our capabilities in antennas, composites, mechanisms & sensors, cables & harnesses, propulsion, and solar arrays. The role involves applying engineering principles as a liaison between design and production, ensuring manufacturing processes meet specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop manufacturing flows and test procedures compliant with engineering drawings and specifications
  • Create manufacturing work instructions and maintain MBOMs
  • Manage work orders and define tooling requirements
  • Conduct manufacturing readiness and design reviews
  • Support fabrication and assembly on the production floor
  • Collaborate with engineering for producibility and lessons learned
  • Participate in project management and scheduling activities
  • Obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) Clearance
Qualifications

Basic:

  • Active DoD SCI clearance, CI Poly
  • Bachelor’s Degree + 5 years of experience, or Master’s + 3 years, or High School + 9 years
  • Experience with composites, mechanisms & sensors, antenna products, or propulsion systems

Preferred:

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
  • Experience with manufacturing execution systems, SAP, and customer presentations
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
Benefits and Compensation

Salary Range: $100,300 - $150,500. Benefits include health coverage, 401k, educational assistance, life insurance, PTO, wellness resources, and employee discounts. Flexible schedules are available, such as a 9/80 work schedule.
