Beehive Industries is seeking a Principal Machinist to lead precision machining of turbo machinery components on 3‑axis and 5‑axis CNC centers with CMM verification. The role focuses on creating fixtures, programming on-line and off-line, and maintaining quality records.

Candidates should have 15+ years in CNC machining, experience with nickel alloys, and tools such as SolidCAM, Mastercam, or NX PowerMill; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required in Colorado.

Formación

• 15+ years of CNC machining experience in turbo machinery components.
• Experience machining castings, forging or 3D printed hardware using 5 axis CNC, and EDM machines.
• High School Diploma.
• Experience with SolidCAM, MasterCam or NX PowerMill.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and Microsoft Office (2 years programming experience).
• Strong GD&T and blueprints.
• Experience with turning/lathes.
• Experience with Heat Resistant Nickel Alloys.
• Experience with OKUMA and Makino multi-axis CNC equipment preferred.

Role Overview

Beehive Industries is searching for a qualified candidate to fill an open position for a Principal Machinist. This position is intended for a self-driven professional looking to expand their abilities to include machining consumable goods for the DMLS process as well as metal 3D printed components.

What You’ll Do…

• Setup and run 3-axis and 5-axis CNCverticalmachining centers and CMM equipment
• Develop machining fixtures for complex aerospace components
• Program CNC equipment on-line and off-line
• Quote machining work for internal and external customers
• Maintain accurate and legible records of production work and results
• Uphold a high degree of a work-area cleanliness (daily and weekly) and organization
• Explore opportunities to add value to the organization
• Perform preventative and proactive maintenance on various shop equipment
• Understand and identify EH&S hazards, risks and controls of the machine shop operations and activities at the site
• Ensure full compliance with EHS and Quality requirements
• Allocate tooling to be ordered for jobs

You have…

• 15+ years of CNC machining experience in turbo machinery components
• Experience machining castings, forging or 3D printed hardware an asset using 5 axis CNC, and EDM machines
• High School Diploma
• Experience inSolidCAM, MasterCam or NX PowerMillan asset
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and Microsoft Office (2 years programming experience)
• Strong technical skills in GD&T & blueprints
• Strong experience with turning/lathes
• Some experience working with Heat Resistant Super Alloys (Nickel Alloys)
• Experience with OKUMAand Makinomulti axis CNC equipment preferred
• Excellent problem solving, organizational, communication and teamwork skills
• Exposure to working within a facility quality systems and codes (ex. ISO 9001, AS9100)
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S.Citizenship is required, as only U.S.Citizens are eligible for a security clearance

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $40.00-$65.00 base salary. Please note that wage information is a general guideline only, and we will consider factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market conditions when extending an offer.
