  • Experience with Red Hat Linux, KVM, and clustering
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery and high-availability principles, including in cloud environments

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing systems administration support for Linux environments
  • Remediate daily incident tickets and ensure system compliance
  • Lead project assignments and mentor less experienced team members
  • Initiate and implement automation tools for efficiency and AI integration
  • Translate business requirements into systems design and infrastructure
  • Consult across the organization on complex technical issues
  • Contribute to the maintenance of systems administration infrastructure

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Linux Administrator to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will oversee the administration and reliability of enterprise Linux environments, with a strong focus on keeping systems secure, compliant, and highly available. The position will partner with technical stakeholders across the organization to translate business needs into infrastructure solutions and improve operational efficiency through automation. In this leadership capacity, the administrator will also guide project work, support team members, and help advance the organization’s technology capabilities.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually

Responsibilities
