Sotalent is seeking an experienced Principal SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing Analyst to lead design, optimization and support of SAP manufacturing solutions, focusing on PP/PP-DS and shop-floor integration. You will partner with factory operations to translate requirements into scalable SAP solutions covering planning, scheduling, execution and inventory management.

The role will drive manufacturing tech projects, system integrations and plant-level deployments, with an initial 90 days onsite

Competenze

• 8+ years of IT analysis experience focused on manufacturing, production planning or factory operations.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, shop-floor execution and production systems.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA PP and/or PP/DS in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience integrating SAP with MES, DCS, PLCs or other production systems.

Principal SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing Analyst – PP/PP-DS

Location: Houston, TX / Atlanta, GA / Charlotte, NC

Work arrangement: Hybrid

About the role

An experienced SAP Manufacturing IT Analyst is sought to lead the design, optimisation and support of SAP S/4HANA manufacturing solutions, with a focus on Production Planning (PP), Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS), and shop-floor integration.

Working closely with factory operations, production planners and manufacturing specialists, this role will translate operational requirements into scalable SAP solutions that support production planning, scheduling, execution and inventory management.

The position will play a key role in manufacturing technology projects, system integrations and plant-level deployments.

Please note: The first 90 days require 100% onsite attendance, Monday to Friday. The role transitions to a hybrid schedule thereafter.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, design and support SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing solutions, particularly PP and PP/DS.
• Gather and document production requirements in collaboration with factory operations and manufacturing teams.
• Design end-to-end production planning, scheduling and execution processes.
• Integrate SAP S/4HANA with shop-floor systems, including MES, DCS and PLCs.
• Support accurate production material movements, inventory postings, work-in-progress, scrap, rework and backflushing.
• Oversee manufacturing master data readiness, including bills of materials, routings, work centres and production capacities.
• Collaborate with specialist teams on operating models, security roles and future-state processes.
• Develop and execute manufacturing test scenarios, support user acceptance testing and assist with deployment and post-go-live stabilisation.
• Identify implementation risks and support ongoing system improvements.

Required experience

• 8+ years of IT analysis experience focused on manufacturing, production planning or factory operations.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, shop-floor execution and production systems.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA PP and/or PP/DS in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience integrating SAP with MES, DCS, PLCs or other production systems.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering manufacturing system implementations, enhancements or plant rollouts.
• SAP certifications in S/4HANA Manufacturing, PP or PP/DS.
• Experience working directly with factory operations and production leadership.
• Knowledge of manufacturing master data governance and data quality.
• Strong requirements analysis, documentation, testing and communication skills.
