Principal Investigator (Archaeologist) is responsible for scheduling and managing small to medium projects or co-managing large ones, serving as field lead for Phase I-III fieldwork, and conducting research associated with archaeological investigations. Responsible for writing portions of archaeological reports at the direction of the Senior Archeologist or Section Head. The qualified candidate for this position will oversee or assist in overseeing Phase I-III archaeological work in Texas and surrounding states. This position will have opportunities for growth and to aid in growing the JMT cultural resources group in Texas.

1. Do you have a Masters Degree from an accredited school in anthropology or a closely related field
2. Do you have Must meet the Secretary of the Interiors Qualification Standards for Archaeologists
3. Do you have 5+ years of experience?(CRM experience preferred)
4. Do you have At least 3 of those years need to involve leadership positions.
5. Do you have Familiarity with Section 106 of the National Heritage Preservation Act and with the Antiquities Code of Texas.
6. Do you have Ability to obtain a Texas Antiquities Permit.
7. Do you have Regional (Texas/Oklahoma/Louisiana) experience in historic and/or prehistoric archaeology.
8. Do you have Demonstrated skills and supervisory experience in Phase I-III fieldwork.
9. Do you have Must be able to provide a writing sample from either a thesis, dissertation, or archaeological report.
10. Do you have Must possess a valid drivers license.
11. Do you have Experience with Federal Agencies and Tribal Nations.
