Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Administration and North Carolina State Board Certification.
• Minimum five years of teaching experience; experience as an assistant principal preferred.
• Other qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Follow all rules, policies and procedures of Wayne County Public Schools, and state/federal regulations.
• Lead in planning, developing, coordinating and evaluating the operations of the school.
• Identify annual objectives for instructional, extracurricular and athletic programs.
• Maintain up-to-date student performance data to evaluate progress.
• Supervise and appraise the performance of the school staff in line with requirements.
• Maintain communications with students, staff and parents and central office staff.
• Provide structures for a professional learning community aligned with the school improvement plan.
• Perform duties and responsibilities as requested by the Superintendent.
