Job summary

Blue Shield of CA in Phoenix seeks a Product Security Engineer to design, build, and operate security as code across application, data, cloud, and infra. You will automate secure-by-default outcomes and scale security with AI-enabled systems.

The role reports to the Senior Director, Product Security and requires a decade of DevSecOps/ security engineering experience, plus hands-on Terraform and CI/CD integration, Kubernetes, IAM, and encryption expertise.

Qualifications

• Requires college degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in security engineering or DevSecOps.
• Experience building security into CI/CD pipelines and IaC workflows.
• Hands-on Terraform, Python/Go/TypeScript, and Kubernetes experience.
• Knowledge of IAM, encryption, network security, and policy-as-code (OPA/Kyverno).
• Experience with AI/ML security approaches and healthcare environments is a plus.
