Job summary
Haemonetics is seeking a Principal Industrial Engineer to optimize plant layouts, map process flows, coordinate utilities, and drive cross-functional projects across global manufacturing operations. You will partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Facilities, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, Supply Chain to improve flow, space utilization, equipment placement, and labor efficiency in a regulated environment.
Travel 25-40% may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years in industrial/manufacturing engineering including plant layout and process optimization.
- Experience with CAD/facility layout software (AutoCAD/SolidWorks/DraftSight).
- Experience in highly controlled manufacturing environments and change control.
Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain plant layouts and workstation layouts for new equipment and line moves.
- Create process flow maps, value stream maps, and material flow analyses to identify bottlenecks.
- Coordinate utility requirements (air, electrical, water, HVAC, cleanrooms) for equipment and areas.
- Lead cross-functional layout reviews with Facilities, Maintenance, EHS, Quality, and Operations.
- Apply Lean tools (5S, standard work, value stream mapping) to improve throughput and space usage.
- Support commissioning, installation, qualification, and production readiness activities.
