Job summary

A healthcare technology company is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the design and development of scalable, reliable software solutions. This fully remote position requires expertise in healthcare interoperability standards, strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C#, and Python, and a passion for innovation in the healthcare space. Ideal candidates will have 8+ years of experience in software engineering and a solid understanding of both relational and NoSQL database systems. This role offers a competitive salary range of $165,000–$180,000 per year and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering within a software product company.
• Extensive experience architecting, building, and delivering complex SaaS solutions.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in the healthcare industry.
• Proficient in modern programming languages such as Java, C#, and Python.
• Solid understanding of database systems, both relational and NoSQL.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of key platform features as an individual contributor.
• Lead the design and development of advanced healthcare software systems.
• Design and implement solutions for healthcare transaction processing.
• Take full ownership of the quality of all team-delivered features.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for executive stakeholders.
