Impulse Space in Redondo Beach is seeking a Principal GNC Engineer of Responsive Spacecraft to lead the GNC team and own guidance and control across development and operations for highly agile delta-V vehicles.
The role requires TS/SCI clearance, a strong background in control analysis, Matlab/C++, spacecraft operations, and mentoring engineering teams in an fast-paced startup-like environment.

As a Principal GNC Engineer of Responsive Spacecraft at Impulse Space, you will lead the team responsible for GNC of the most agile delta-V machines under development. You will own all aspects of and provide outstanding technical contribution to vehicle guidance and control in all phases of development and operation with a fast-paced team. Due to the nature of the programs, a TS/SCI clearance is required.
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
Impulse Space’s spacecraft manufacturing business is subject to U.S. export regulations including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
