Amazon seeks a Principal GNSS Systems Engineer to lead the end-to-end GNSS subsystem architecture for a satellite-based PNT service, operating across S-Band and L-Band. You will own requirements, TT&C, clock discipline, and time transfer across ground terminals.

The role requires a Master’s in a related field and 10+ years in GNSS/RF, with strong Python/MATLAB skills to model, simulate, and verify complex systems.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics or related field; Bachelor’s with exceptional experience considered.
• 10+ years in GNSS systems engineering, RF systems engineering, satellite payloads, TT&C or precision PNT.
• Hands-on with at least two major GNSS constellations at signal and systems level.
• Experience designing or contributing to precision time transfer systems with ns-level accuracy.
• Kalman-filter navigation/time solutions in real systems; RF design across S-Band/L-Band.
• RF hardware development cycles with external suppliers and flight hardware tests.

Responsabilités

• Serve as technical lead and subsystem owner for the spacecraft GNSS architecture.
• Drive design from requirements through hardware acceptance and integration.
• Own TT&C and time transfer design, clock disciplining, and timing budgets.
• Collaborate across hardware, software, and test teams to deliver high-precision PNT.
