Job summary

Amazon LEO seeks a Principal, Global Public Safety Lead to shape strategy for emergency connectivity across the world. You will drive partnerships with first responders, regulators, and external organizations while guiding cross-functional teams through design and deployment of lifesaving satellite services.

You will define long-term visions, balance regulatory demands, and scale solutions across multiple countries, ensuring excellent customer experiences and compliant operations at global scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements.
• 7+ years of professional or military experience.
• 7+ years of solving problems with technology in the Telecommunications industry experience
• 7+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
• 7+ years of working with Enterprise Application Modernization and Migration technologies, including, but not limited to, Mainframe, Serverless, Containers, or Cloud Operations experience
• Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

Responsibilities

• Balance customer needs, operational excellence, and compliance while delivering innovative solutions at global scale.
• Influence cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, legal, regulatory affairs, and public policy to deliver high-impact initiatives.

Amazon LEO is building a next-generation low Earth orbit satellite network designed to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to communities around the world, including places where traditional networks don’t exist or fail when they’re needed most.

As the Principal, Global Public Safety Lead you have deep expertise in Public Safety and Emergency Response. You’ll define the strategy, vision, and execution for emergency connectivity capabilities that enable first responders, emergency service providers, governments, businesses, and communities to stay connected when every second matters.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the vision at the intersection of satellite communications, public safety, global technology, and customer experience, creating solutions that have the potential to save lives across dozens of countries.

Key job responsibilities

• You’ll own the global public safety strategy for Amazon LEO’s Emergency Connectivity Services, driving our external relationships from concept through launch while partnering with engineering, operations, legal, regulatory, public policy, and external emergency services organizations.
• Define and execute the long-term vision for emergency connectivity services worldwide.
• Develop external relationships worldwide to enable reliable satellite-based communications for first responders and emergency service providers.

• Establish partnerships with Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), emergency response organizations, regulators, and global stakeholders.

• Balance customer needs, operational excellence, and compliance requirements while delivering innovative solutions at global scale.
• Influence cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, legal, regulatory affairs, and public policy to deliver complex, high-impact initiatives.

Export Control Requirement

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
• 7+ years of professional or military experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
