IronEagleX, a subsidiary of General Dynamics Information Technology, seeks a Principal Full Stack Software Engineer (Agentic AI focused) to advance our AI analytics stack in Crystal City, VA. Responsibilities

• Develop clean, maintainable Python code adhering to best practices.
• Lead design and implementation of AI-enabled web apps and analytics using Streamlit, React or similar tech.
• Integrate AI/LLM capabilities into applications, including prompting, tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Design, develop, and integrate FastAPI-based services for seamless inter-system communication.
• Build and maintain user interfaces to make AI, data, analytics accessible to end users.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Docker-based deployments for reliable releases.
• Work with PostgreSQL and MySQL to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Use Git for version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, test, and deliver features.
• Contribute to all stages of the SDLC from concept through sustainment.

IronEagleXis seeking aPrincipalFull Stack Software Engineer (Agentic AI focused)to supportourAI teaminCrystal City, VA.This role will design, deploy, and sustain critical components of our AI analytics stack, including analytic frontends, production APIs, interfaces between AI workflow components, and the underlying data layer.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a PrincipalFull Stack Software Engineer, you will be a core member of the AI team responsible for prototyping, building, and delivering critical data analytics capabilities. You will help translate emerging AI and machine learning concepts into reliable, user-focused software solutions that support mission outcomes.

JOB DUTIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO)

• Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Lead the technical design and implementation of AI-enabled web applications and analytics usingStreamlit, React, or similar technologies.
• Integrate modern AI and large language model capabilities into applications and workflows, including prompting, tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation(RAG), and related patterns.
• Design, develop, and integrate APIs, includingFastAPI-based services, to enable seamless communication between systems.
• Build andmaintainuser interfaces that make complex AI, data, and analytics capabilities accessible to end users.
• Establish andmaintainCI/CD pipelines and container-based deployments using tools such as Docker to support repeatable builds and reliable releases.
• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL to ensure data integrity, performance, and efficiency.
• Implement andmaintainversion control using Git to streamline collaboration and code management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, develop, test, and deliver new features.
• Contribute to all stages of the software development life cycle, from concept and design through testing, deployment, and sustainment.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Proficiencyin writing clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code.
• Experience building AI-enabled web applications, analytic dashboards, or user workflows usingStreamlitor similar technologies.
• Strong knowledge of web technologies, containerization, RESTful APIs, and user interface development.
• Experience designing andmaintainingscalable backend solutions using Python frameworks.
• Familiarity with relational database systems such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Proficiencywith Docker; Kubernetes experience is a plus.
• Proficiencywith Git-based version control and collaborative software development workflows.
• Hands-on experience with full stack development and a strong understanding of the software development life cycle.

DESIRED SKILLS

• Experience developing modern front-end applications using React.
• Hands-on experience designing or developing LLM-powered agentic workflows that use tool calling, structured outputs, task planning, and multi-step execution.
• Familiarity with component-based UI development, state management, and reusable front-end design patterns.
• Experience integrating React-based frontends with RESTful APIs or Python-based backend services.
• Experience supporting AI, machine learning, data analytics, or mission-focused software applications.
• Familiarity with cloud-native application development,DevSecOpspractices, or secure software delivery environments.
• Experience implementing reliable AI workflows with validation, error handling, retries, logging, and fallback strategies.
• Understanding ofMLOpsconcepts, including model registry/versioning, reproducible environments, and CI/CD for ML-enabled systems.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Clearance:Current TS/SCI Clearance with active or ability to obtain CI Polygraphisrequired
• Experience: 8+years of related experience
• Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Role requirements:Work is onsite in Crystal City, VAwith optional CONUS travel
• Due to US Government Contract Requirements, only US Citizens are eligible for this role
