Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience building applications across UI, API, and data layers.
• Proficiency in Java development with Spring/Spring Boot.
• Strong API design and microservices experience.
• DevOps experience with CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Maven, uDeploy, Stash).
• SQL and relational databases.
• Cloud deployment experience (AWS or Azure).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and rapid learning.

The Principal Full Stack Engineer will design and develop mission-critical web applications and financial tools using modern technology stacks in a collaborative environment. As part of the WI Operations Modernization Chapter, this role partners closely with business, operations, and engineering teams to deliver next-generation technology solutions that transform operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical web applications and financial tools


• Collaborate with business, operations, and engineering teams to implement modern technology solutions


• Build scalable applications across UI, API, and data layers


• Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot


• Design and develop APIs and microservices architectures


• Implement cloud-based solutions deployed on AWS or Azure


• Work within Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to sprint planning and delivery


• Apply DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments


• Follow Test-Driven Development (TDD) and best engineering practices


• Learn and adopt new tools, technologies, and frameworks as required

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field


• 10+ years of experience building applications across UI, API, and data layers


• Strong Java development experience (primary focus – ~80%)


• Hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot


• Strong experience with API Design & Development and Microservices Architecture


• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools including Git, Jenkins, Maven, uDeploy, and Stash


• Experience with SQL and relational databases


• Cloud deployment experience using AWS or Azure


• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments


• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to quickly learn new technologies

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) principles and CMIS standards


• Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, SNS, or SQS


• Experience with Groovy


• Experience with Camunda BPM
