Job summary

Cognite is hiring a Principal Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and lead scalable frontend and backend systems for industrial data platforms. You will shape architectural decisions, drive execution, and collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-value features.

You’ll work in an English-speaking environment, mentoring engineers and advancing a modern tech stack (Kubernetes, cloud deployments) across SaaS-like products.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in full stack development and scalable architecture.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading large projects.
• Hands-on with cloud deployments and modern data platforms.
• Strong problem-solving and design skills.
• Ability to work in an English-speaking environment.
• Experience in industrial software or SaaS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive architectural decisions and lead implementation of scalable full stack solutions.
• Collaborate with designers, PMs, and backend engineers.
• Design and maintain APIs and infrastructure.
• Shape product roadmap and technical direction.
• Work with users to understand needs and deliver value.
• Support cross-team collaboration on shared tech stack.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead major projects.
