Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company seeks a Principal Fuel Solutions Engineer to lead the Fuel Engineering Services product strategy and drive offerings for utility customers. You will guide cross-functional engineering teams, translate customer needs into strategic solutions, and develop complex offers spanning multiple years.

You will report to the Fuel Engineering Services Product Solutions Manager in a remote US setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• Six+ years of technical or customer-oriented experience.
• Proficient in SAP to review data and run reports.
• Ability to translate abstract concepts into data-driven analyses from multiple formats.
• Collaborate across levels within the organization and across business segment boundaries.
• Ensure compliance with the offer/marketing process (technical descriptions, cost estimates, risk assessments, commercial opportunity database).

Responsibilities

• Develop and support the generation and implementation of the Fuel Engineering Services product strategy which will require translation into the Fuel Hardware and Engineering Solutions portfolio plan.
• Establish a basic technical understanding of Fuel Engineering products and maintain product related databases.
• Forecast financials and resource demand opportunities and incorporate creative technologies and cost improvement goals.
• Identify unmet customer needs, develop and guide strategic solutions to create customer value and satisfy industry regulatory needs.
• Work with internal organizations and customers to grow the Fuel Engineering Services business with Fuel Business Managers.
• Support Fuel Engineering product development stage gates and technical roadmaps.
• Develop business cases to justify innovation investments have a positive return on investment.

About The Role

As a Principal Fuel Solutions Engineer, you will lead your department and engineering teams in identifying, developing, and offering products and services that provide our utility customers with solutions to their technical problems. You will define and offer customer solutions in the areas within Fuel Engineering. You will lead the preparation of complex offers spanning multiple years to address our customers' needs and strategic projects. We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200 to $129,000 per year.
