The Principal Financial Analyst acts as the technical financial analysis expert for the department reporting directly to the department CFO. The Principal Financial Analyst has a strong understanding of financial concepts and proper application of data analysis to enhance the performance of the department. The principal Financial Analyst is responsible for explaining financial documents and complex accounting analysis to leadership including month end close reviews. The incumbent has an in-depth understanding of Capital and Operating budgets and multi-year budgets and is involved in the analysis and builds each year. The Principal Financial Analyst has the ability to attend and present financial analysis and information on behalf of the CFO to senior leadership. The Principal Financial Analyst communicates complex concepts in a clear manner with managers and senior leadership within the department, as well as other corporate departments (A/P, Purchasing, Finance, Capital Accounting). Contact with outside vendors is limited.
