Faculty members of the Department of Nursing have academic, instruction, service, practice and/or scholarship responsibilities consistent with the mission and philosophy of the department. Faculty members participate in university governance and assist the Department Chair and Program Director to plan, coordinate, facilitate, administer, and monitor all activities related to the program.
The PMHNP Faculty role supports the preparation of graduate nursing students through high-quality instruction, curriculum development, student advisement, clinical education, and shared governance. This position contributes directly to the strength of the PMHNP program by supporting student learning, program outcomes, faculty collaboration, and the advancement of graduate nursing education.
Faculty in this role also help connect education, service, practice, and scholarship in ways that support the improvement of health care delivery
