Qualifications

• BS/BA in engineering; chemical/biochemical/mechanical degree preferred.
• Direct experience in equipment engineering and biopharmaceutical process equipment.
• Intermediate CAD software and drafting knowledge.
• Ability to think independently to make quality decisions.
• Ability to plan and schedule projects.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Specify cGMP process equipment, components, and spare parts.
• Evaluate equipment for Functional Equivalence.
• Assist in design review, site acceptance, and installation of equipment.
• Write and execute test plans demonstrating equipment suitability.
• Support QA Validation by preparing design documents and assisting in protocol execution.
• Author, review, and revise Standard Equipment Specifications.
• Implement corrective/preventative actions for existing equipment.
• Prepare engineering evaluations and test plans for change control documentation.
• Support large capital projects in a spare parts capacity.
