Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Principal to lead business development, client relationships, and technical delivery in human health risk assessment, community health, and environmental health sciences. You will navigate regulatory and stakeholder environments while building trusted advisor relationships with industry, government, and legal clients.

This role combines technical excellence, strategic leadership, and commercial responsibility across Health Sciences, Water, and Environment & Health practices

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and 15+ years of environmental health consulting or related experience
• Proven business development and revenue generation track record
• Strong relationships with industry, regulatory, legal, or government clients
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects
• Ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences
• Experience supporting environmental justice or community health initiatives, PFAS, air toxics, or emerging contaminants is desirable

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand client relationships across industrial, commercial, government, and legal sectors
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities
• Lead proposal development, strategic pursuits, and major client accounts
• Serve as trusted advisor navigating regulatory and public health challenges
• Collaborate across Ramboll's global network to deliver integrated solutions
• Direct complex risk assessment and community health projects
• Provide technical leadership and QA on deliverables
• Support stakeholders during regulatory interactions and public meetings
• Publish technical articles and participate in professional societies
• Mentor and develop junior consultants
• Foster an inclusive, high-performing team culture
• Help grow the Risk Assessment & Community Health practice
