Dell Technologies is seeking a Rack Integration Engineer for its Services Integration team in Round Rock, TX. You will own the complete design of rack-based compute, cloud and storage solutions, coordinating across Customer, Integration Partner, Hardware and Logistics to deliver safe, scalable systems.

The role emphasizes lifecycle ownership from requirements and concept design through physical build and sustaining, with emphasis on manufacturability, serviceability, and electrical power

Formación

• Knowledge of design for manufacturing and serviceability for rack server.
• Ability to visualize and implement conceptual layouts to avoid potential conflicts and ensure maximum serviceability.
• Strong understanding of fundamental electrical principles related to power management in a data center environment.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of server hardware, networking equipment, PDU, UPS.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsabilidades

• Create detailed design of rack layouts based on customer's unique project requirements, Data Center or COLO constraints, transport & delivery limitations, serviceability and esthetics.
• Perform a physical fit analysis and/or CAD modeling to detect potential interferences and prevent collisions during the physical build.
• Perform center of mass and tip angle calculations to ensure safe transport and handling during delivery.
• Collaborate with Project Manager, Sales Teams and Customer to ensure all hardware orders are accurately aligned with the intended and assumed functions as designed and expected by the Customer.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation of rack

Rack Integration Engineer

What you'll achieve

In this position as Principle Engineer/Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for the complete and detailed design of rack-based compute, cloud and storage solutions. The design must consider requirements from various and often competing sources which include the Customer, the Integration Partner, Hardware and Logistics, all while applying Industry Standards and Dell Best Practices. The Rack Engineer will assume life cycle ownership of individual projects which include Requirements Discovery, Concept & Design, and Physical Build Sustaining.

  Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position is $134,000 - $184,800 (dependent on level)
