Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Principal Process Engineer – Level 3 to join our team in Clearfield, UT / Salt Lake City, UT. This role partners closely with design engineering, production, and cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues, optimize safety, quality, cost, and efficiency, and implement corrective actions to improve process performance. The successful candidate will analyze production data, support the implementation of tooling and equipment, maintain manufacturing documentation, and present technical solutions to leadership, customers, and engineering review boards. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance. Good organizational skills and ability to work with minimal direction Excellent computer skills. Skilled in working with Microsoft Office applications and business database systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong problem solving skills Ability to build strong, working relationships with operations personnel
Experience in working with aerospace specifications and drawings, both hard copy and model based Experience in working with composite materials Experience with insulation / rubber processes Experience with composite winding processes Experience with CNC Machining Experience using AI tools in an Engineering environment
$110,000.00 - $135,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
