Responsibilities

  • Process Development: develop new and maintain or improve manufacturing processes with a focus on affordability
  • Develop methods for process monitoring using existing and new interfaces
  • Work in cross functional teams to develop data, software, and database applications to support current and future manufacturing needs
  • Provide ROI justification for process improvements
  • Specify, identify and procure new manufacturing equipment for production readiness and prepare equipment for production with focus on machine integration and data collection
  • Develop and optimize process parameters
  • Develop/revise process documentation and work instructions
  • Assist floor in optimizing process monitoring for yields, cost, and stability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with floor personnel, focusing on IT and human/machine interfaces
  • Design and implement quality improvements based on metrics
  • Create, validate and maintain automatic equipment programs
  • Assist training of new personnel and contribute to operator training materials
  • Support factory maintenance with troubleshooting and repair of process equipment
  • Interface with equipment vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues

What You’ll Get to Do:
  • Process Development Developing new and maintaining or improving existing manufacturing processes with a focus on affordability
  • Developing methods for process monitoring using existing and new interfaces
  • Working in cross functional teams to develop new data, software, and database applications to support current and future manufacturing needs
  • Providing ROI justification for process improvements
  • Specifying, identifying and procuring new manufacturing equipment for production readiness and preparing equipment for production with a focus on the machine integration and data collection
  • Developing and optimizing process parameters
  • Developing/revising process documentation and work instructions
  • Factory Support Assist the floor in optimization of process monitoring for process yields, cost, and process stability and capability
  • Work with the floor personnel to resolve technical issues, specializing in IT and human/machine interface
  • Recommending and implementing quality improvements based on the above metrics
  • Creating, validating and maintaining automatic equipment programs
  • Assisting with the training of new personnel and participating in the design of operator training materials
  • Supporting factory maintenance personnel with the troubleshooting and repair of process equipment
  • Interfacing with equipment vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Design Support Recommending product design improvements required to produce advanced microelectronics products
  • Documenting state-of-the-art process capabilities and guidelines for product designers
  • Participating in design producibility reviews for new products
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related STEM degree with 5+ years of related experience or Master’s and 3+ in Engineering or related STEM area.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using MS Office software applications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience working with microelectronics technology and materials
  • Experience with soldering, connections, building microelectronics and computers
  • Familiarity with J-STD and MIL-STD requirements and Space Class hardware requirements

Primary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
