Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic technical projects for foundational data, storage and caching systems at massive scale.
• Lead architecture and engineering strategy across S3, EBS, Glacier and analytics layers (Redshift, EMR, SageMaker).
• Mentor engineers and solve durability, availability, and latency challenges hands-on.
• Collaborate with Principal Engineers and teams across AWS Foundational Data & Storage Services.
• Scout and recruit top technical talent to grow the engineering community.
• Drive engineering excellence and operational culture across services and teams.
• Shape technical direction for systems with eleven-nines reliability and planet-scale impact.
• Balance deep systems expertise with data-driven architectural decisions at scale.
