Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks a Principal Engineer, E&E Engineering to lead the design and qualification of electronic components and systems. You will coordinate design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of hardware to meet schedule, cost and quality targets.

Requirements include a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 5–8 years of experience, DO-0169 qualification, PCB design, and project management. U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree with 5+ years in Electrical/Electronics engineering is acceptable.
  • 5+ years of experience with DO-0169 Environmental Qualification.
  • 4+ years of experience with Electrical Design.
  • 3+ years of PCB Design.
  • 2+ years of project management.
  • Non-US person must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Research, develop, design and test electrical components, equipment, systems and networks to ensure that business objectives and required specifications are met.
  • Prepare engineering sketches of specifications to construct, relocate or install equipment, facilities, products, or systems.
  • Prepare documentation including confidential descriptions or specifications of proprietary hardware or software, information on product development, introduction schedules, product costs and performance weaknesses to track progress and analyze performance.
  • Perform engineering work and applied research, development and design of new products to ensure quality standards and business objectives are met.

Principal Engineer, E&E Engineering

Rockwell Collins Inc. d/b/a Collins Aerospace has an opening for a Principal Engineer, E&E Engineering in Cedar Rapids, IA. National travel to Melbourne, Florida facility 2-3 times a year. What YOU will do

Qualifications
  • Must possess at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field and at least 8 years of progressive experience as an Electrical Engineer, Electronics Engineer or related role.
  • In the alternative, at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field and at least 5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer, Electronics Engineer or related role would be acceptable.
  • Must possess at least 5 years of experience with DO0169 Environmental Qualification.
  • Must possess at least 4 years of experience with Electrical Design.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience with PCB Design.
  • Must possess at least 2 years of experience in project management.
  • Non-US Person - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
  • The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position.

Salary
  • The salary range is $119,600.00 to $204,500.00 USD per year.
  • The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
Work Arrangement
