Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a hands-on technical contributor to lead customer-focused system validation for enterprise and data-center SSDs. You will own execution, debugging, qualification, and cross-functional coordination, guiding teams across firmware, hardware, and systems.

The role requires 8+ years in validation, strong NVMe/PCIe skills, and proficiency in Python/C/C++. You will mentor engineers, develop automation, and apply AI to optimize processes in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in customer, product, or system validation roles.
  • Strong knowledge of NVMe and PCIe protocols with debugging across system, firmware, and hardware domains.
  • Hands-on experience with system-level validation in complex hardware/software environments.
  • Experience collaborating with multi-functional engineering teams (firmware, hardware, systems).
  • Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or similar languages and understanding of validation methodologies.
  • Applying Artificial Intelligence to improve organizational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Apply AI techniques to improve validation workflows and efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of experience in customer, product, or system validation roles.

  • Strong knowledge and experience with NVMe and PCIe protocols and debugging skills across system, firmware, and hardware domains.

  • Hands‑on experience accomplishing system‑level validation in complex hardware/software environments.

  • Experience collaborating with multi‑functional engineering teams (firmware, hardware, systems).

  • Proficiency with scripting/programming in Python, C/C++, or similar languages and understanding of validation methodologies.

  • Applying Artificial Intelligence to improve organization level working efficiency.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience supporting OEM, hyperscale, or cloud customer qualification programs.

  • Prior ownership of validation execution for customer‑facing platforms.

  • Mentoring experience or technical leadership in validation teams.

  • Familiarity with industry certifications, compatibility testing, or joint qualification processes.

  • Strong communication skills for multi‑functional and customer‑facing interactions.


The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full‑time position is: $145,000.00 - $247,000.00 a year. Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.


Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job‑related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
