Ladders is seeking a Principal Engineer, Big Data Platform to shape the technical direction for large-scale data infrastructure that supports big data and AI applications. Remote - US based candidates only; no visa sponsorship.

You will partner with internal teams to build frameworks for petabyte-scale datasets emphasizing performance, reliability, and scalability. This role will influence long-term architecture and technical vision for the company's data platform while helping drive efficient

Qualifications

• 12+ years of industry experience with a track record of technical excellence.
• 8+ years building scalable Kubernetes or big data platforms.
• Deep knowledge of big data/ML tech incl. Flink, Spark, Presto, Kubernetes, Ray, PyTorch/TensorFlow.
• Proficient in Java, Go, Scala, and Python.
• Experience with Kubernetes and AWS.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Engineer, Big Data Platform to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space.

This role will shape the technical direction for large-scale data infrastructure that supports big data and AI applications. You will partner closely with internal teams to build frameworks that handle petabyte-scale datasets with performance, reliability, and scalability in mind. This position will also influence long-term architecture and technical vision for the company's data platform while helping drive efficient data processing and storage across the organization.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $242,634 – $499,541 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and technical direction for data infrastructure for big data and AI applications
• Build and scale data infrastructure frameworks for petabyte-scale datasets
• Collaborate with internal customers on impactful big data use cases
