Job summary

CodesyncHR Services Inc. is seeking a hands-on Principal Engineer to build, troubleshoot and deliver complex software across Java and Spring services, distributed systems, and cloud platforms.

You will design architecture with resiliency, observability, security and maintainability, and guide engineers while aligning with product and DevOps practices.

The role emphasizes coaching, risk identification, and exploring AI-enabled engineering approaches while upholding strong engineering discipline.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including principal, staff, architect or senior lead-level technical scope.
• Deep hands-on Java development experience and strong knowledge of the Spring ecosystem.
• Experience designing service-oriented and distributed applications.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or comparable event-driven or streaming technologies.
• Experience with relational data platforms; PostgreSQL experience is preferred.
• Strong cloud engineering experience in GCP, AWS or Azure.
• Experience designing for resiliency, observability, security and operational readiness.
• Experience in Agile product delivery and DevOps environments.
• Practical use of AI-enabled development tools beyond basic chat, such as agentic coding or workflow automation.
